【Ended】Walking tours in Port Town Niigata

“Discover and Experience the Art and Culture of Port Town Niigata Project” is a project to hold exhibitions in historic residences, buildings, a temple, and merchants’ houses in Asahimachi, Nishi-Ohata, Furumachi and Shimomachi.

As a collaborative Event with this project, walking tours around the exhibition sites will be organized by Niigata City Guides. For more information, please contact them.

Overview

Courses

Three courses are available. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours, including the viewing of exhibits at each site.

Nishi-Ohata (A) Course November 18, 2023, 1:00 – 3:00 pm NEXT21 → Shofukuji Temple → Niigata Branch of Northern Culture Museum * → Niigata Saito Villa* → Ikinariya(Viewing may not be possible depending on circumstances.)
Nishi-Ohata (B) Course November 19, 2023, 10:00 – 12:00 am NEXT21 → Kashimaya → Shofukuji Temple → Sakyukan → Niigata University Asahimachi Museum
Shimomachi Course November 25, 2023, 10:00 – 12:00 am Niigata City Museum of History (Minatopia) → Former Ozawa Family Residence* → Kashimaya → NEXT21
